Really relaxing and cozy place to study at. I'm absolutely inlove with their lemon squares and donkatsu :) Definitely recommend!

Amazing spot. Delicious & affordable food and drink! The owner is wonderful, kind and so helpful. Great location, too! Right in the heart of NDG, it feels like the perfect local hotspot you'd expect it to be.

New owners and the menu has changed a lot. A bit pricy for what you get.

Very clean and convenient restaurant. They offer large meals and for fair rates. We liked the food very much and the staff members were very affable and informative. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Came in on an afternoon walk and decided to try something new. It was my first time here, and I was greeted warmly from the woman at the front. I decided on the Americano, which was fragrant and delicious - even after it turned lukewarm hours later (the large size is impossible for me to finish quickly!) Overall, it was a really nice experience and the service was so friendly! I'll definitely be back to try some of their food items. Sometimes I wish there was a Starbucks close by in the area, but now I'm glad there isn't because we can support small businesses like Mate Latte. Give them a try if you're in NDG craving some good coffee.

We love going there. Always full and personnel enthusiastic. Sometimes the services seem rather without much training but the products are delicious.

Adorable place. Amazing crepes. Nice loose leaf tea. Good music. Great place for working. Love all the plants. Only complaint was they didn't offer me napkins and I had a grilled veggie sandwich. The sandwich was delicious but it was dripping onto my hands. There was no napkin dispenser either so I just dug tissue out of my purse.

Enjoyed the western omelet, coffee is great, service was very good. A little on the expensive side.

Awesome little café! Normally when a cafe changes hands it goes down hill but the current owners have elevated not only the service, but the selection! Part Asian, part bistro food as well as the necessary sweet treats at the cash. If you’re in NDG check it out!!!

What a disappointment! I was looking forward to trying this place and it was a very underwhelming experience. After more than 30 minutes of not getting our food or coffee, we went up to ask politely. We were told it was coming. After another 20 minutes (by then, almost 1 hour), still without coffee or food we reminded them about our orders once again. It was like they misplaced or forgot about it. Our food came, with a minimal apology . Our eggs and bacon were over cooked and the potatoes were undercooked. I can understand that mistakes happen but no compensation was offered at the cash. Terrible from A to Z!

Under new management, since the last two years. All elements of the former establishment, good breakfast fare, smoothies, good coffees, teas galore, etc... now join complete menu of Korean mainstays, in the same charming sun drenched setting.

We visited this cafe with my husband many times and every time enjoyed it a lot. The coffee is always delicious there, the deserts and meals are always good as well. I like that they have a good variety of food and drinks, so there is always something new to try. The atmosphere is very nice there, it was a perfect place for a date escape and for some quiet work on the laptops with a cup of coffee.

As someone lucky enough to live nearby, I'm often at Matte Latte. I'm always greeted with a big smile and a hello at the door by the owner, and there is no place I'd rather start my weekday mornings - even better on the weekends! The music is always good, it's dog and family friendly, and it has quickly made its way into the heart of the local community. Try the spicy chicken wrap or the breakfast sandwich, and say hello to Andrea for me when you're there.

Mate Latte was a surprise find! I was in a rush and it happened to be close to where I was going. And What a lovely surprise it was, great staff who were very welcoming, wonderful ambiance and amazingly delicious treats. After some hesitation, I ended up just grabbing two treats, their cranberry bread (seasonal!) and one of their spiced muffins. Every single bite was divine, I really enjoyed my quick breakfast! I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the hot chocolate but I still maintain the 5 stars because of everything else. If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely go back :)

This place looks like it's a Korean family restaurant. the food is quite family style. Although the seafood pancake isn't as crispy as the other place, also it lacks of seasoning. But it comes with sauce, so I think it's acceptable. We liked the Kimchi fried rice. A little bit spicy and sourness from the Kimchi, it's good.

Friendly, quick service and delicious coffee! I love how the sun comes in through the front windows in the morning. It's so cozy. Great job!
